Course Catalog Description:
The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the rudiments
of statistics. Basic concepts, rather than detailed derivation, are
stressed. Topics include: probability, discrete random variables;
means and variances; binomical, hypergeometric, normal, chi-square, F distributions;
interval estimates; tests of hypotheses.
Students can receive credit for only one of Stat 216, 260, 364,
or 366.
