Course Catalog Description:
This is a course on quality technology for application in business and industry involving concepts and methods from Statistics, Management and Psychology and how they blend together to obtain results. Topics may include: quality concepts for products and services, Deming philosophy of quality improvement, leadership and management concepts, analytic vs enumerative studies, theory of variability, the seven tools, exploratory data analysis, statistical graphics, Shewhart control charts, cusum charts, process capability, principles of experimental design, robust product and process design.
