10:00 in the evening:
Mama: "Jacob, matulog ka na."
Jacob: "Gusto ko ng katabi matulog eh.  Halika na, Julia."
Julia, in friendly tone: "Kuuyaa, gusto mo ng katabi?"
Jacob: "Oo."
Julia changes to condescending tone: "Big boy na ikaw, eh."

10:30 the same evening:
Papa: "Julia, kanina pa si kuya nakahiga.  Matulog ka na rin."
Julia: "Sabi ni mama, hindi pa ako higa eh."
Papa: "Kung magkaiba kami ng sinasabi ni Mama, ako ang masusunod!"
Julia: "Nakakatawa ikaw eh."

Julia notices Mama rearranging chairs and setting the dinner table:
Julia: "Dadating si everybody?"

Mama: "Julia, pupunta tayo kay Veronica.  Sa kaniya galing ang winter
       coat na suot mo."
Julia: "Pero baka makita ng Mama and Papa niya na suot ko!"

       decoration."

While in the van, sleepy Julia starts sucking her thumb:
