    1. Go to a PC in a university computing lab (there are labs in Schneider, Rood, and Bernhard)
    2. Double click on a SAS icon on the desktop (or choose 'Programs' from Start menu)
    3. Cut-and-paste the following SAS program code into the Editor Window
    4. Submit the program (click on the 'running man' icon on top of the window)
    5. View the output in the Output Window (click on 'Output' at the bottom)
    6. View the log file in the Log Window. There should be no error messages at this point, but this is where you will see error messages if you have SAS coding errors.
    7. Print the output file. (Activate the Output Window and choose File>Print)

  • A $40 student version of SAS is available at TotalTech in the WMU Bookstore inside Bernhard Center. Ask them if you need to download a license file. If you do, you can find it here.

  • Note: SAS manual documentation is available on the internet for free.
    Go to (SAS Version 9 Online Documentation).
    Choose SAS/STAT.
    Choose SAS/STAT User's Guide.
    Scroll down to, for example, The REG Procedure.
