A Statistician's Workday in a Preclinical Contract Research Organization

Biostatistician, MPI Research

MPI Research, with global headquarters in Mattawan, Michigan, is a preclinical contract research organization (CRO) that provides support and resources for drug safety, discovery, surgery, medical device evaluation, bioanalytical, and analytical studies. I will provide a background on the company and the preclinical research industry. I will talk about what I do as a biostatistician, typical statistical “endpoints” that I analyze, and other tasks that I do as part of my job. I will also discuss some skills that one should have to be successful as a biostatistician at MPI Research.

All statistics students are expected to attend.
