From simple exploratory graphics to highly sophisticated publication-quality graphics, R has it all. Among many strong suits R has to offer for statistical analysis, I will introduce selected graphical tools in R for exploring and presenting various data types. Examples include traditional graphics (barplot, histogram, boxplot, scatter plot, etc.), trellis displays of multivariate data (packages lattice and ggplot2), 3D statistical graphics (rgl), and simple animations explaining important statistical concepts.
All statistics students are expected to attend.
